You can Tweet to Musk and he may reply within minutes. Sometimes seconds. World’s busiest man, you’d think, but also the world’s biggest shitposter. Loves to stir the pot. Loves to be the talk of town. Everything about Elon Musk has lead to this moment, and foretold of it. Internet dictionaries define the type of man Elon Musk is as “an absolute madlad”, this being the technical term. You dare him to do something, and he will do it. Not always, but sometimes, out of the blue… he suddenly does. This is a man who goes from zero to 100 with an incredible and at times terrifying quickness. His biography will one day be titled “Woah, that escalated quickly”.

Why does Elon Musk do anything, ever? Because he wants to. Because he thinks it ‘looks cool’, because it allows him to dominate the news cycle and boost sales for his various businesses. Because he has money like water… and some tiny part of him might actually care for that illustrious ancient value called freedom.
